Here on base, ITT (Information, tours, & travel) offers different trips for families. They occasionally will have an all girls night as well. A couple of friends and I decided to take advantage of this one night and give the guys a little break from us, haha. It was quite nice...it's just dinner and shopping for a few hours out on the town. This time is was in Catania, which is only about a 15-20 minute drive. Catania is a busy town, it always seems so alive and exciting. You walk the streets and see people trying too sell dancing toys, pirated dvds and burned cds, along with cheap jewelry and other little knik-knaks.
Believe it or not, the big thing here is Levi's. They are sold for about 100 euro...and that's if you are getting a deal. Also they are real big on timberland clothing products as well. Pretty much, clothes are outrageously expensive here. I have found a few deals on things since I've been here, but would still like to find a nice pair of Italian boots. =]

So far, my favorite department store here is Coin. It is like a Macy's back in the states.
